About

I’m a mom, blogger, yarn loving, scissor wielding, master chef (in my own kitchen), wife and music lover. By day, I work as a pre press artist for a printing company. I won’t bore you with the details on that, but I love my professional career! By night I craft, blog and scrub stains out of toddler clothes. I’ve got this crazy idea that I can do it all. You know, serve up life Donna Reed style to my family, with giant smile on my perfectly made up face, all while holding down a full time job and keeping my house spic and span. The problem is, I’m failing miserably! I can’t remember that last time I actually put on make up, or fixed my hair in anything besides a super fashionable pony tail. I don’t need to get “dressed up” for work, so I don’t. If you skype me, I’ll probably be wearing a hoodie and jeans. I do my best not to be the chicken nugget mom, but it happens! Hey, you don’t argue with a toddler.

My daughter was born April 4th, 2010. Along with her birth, was the birth of my inner hippie. So, be on the look out for my natural-parenting-meets-modern-busy-mom mixed beliefs. I believe in doing what’s right for your own family, and not worrying about what’s right for everyone else’s family.

I love to craft! Like a 90-year-old woman, you’ll find me sitting on the couch crocheting hats, scarves, blankets and more. I also make photography props, and have many great reviews both in my Etsy shop: Clover’s Garden, and on my shops Facebook page. Be sure to check those out :)

Cooking is my next  big passion, and I take it seriously. By that, I mean I spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying stuff out. Cooking is fun and feeding my family nutritious food is even better. We won’t talk about those chicken nugget nights! With a crazy list of foods I need to avoid, I am always looking to take store-bought food and make it myself at home. Be ready for some yummy “whole-food” style recipes. I’m also a big fan of freezer cooking, and that’s usually how I manage to put a home cooked meal on the table, even on my most hectic of days.

This IS a PR friendly blog. I may serve up some tasty reviews if I think the item suits my fancy and will suit the interests of my readers. I will only post my honest opinion about my experiences with products and services. I also follow all federal guidelines, and any post that I received compensation for in any way will clearly state that. No trickery around here.

Now. Click on a post, kick off your pumps, lets have some coffee and laugh about failing at a classic 50′s life style together!
